GTFO Beginner's Guide

GTFO is a tough game with a tense atmosphere that hides unimaginable horrors in the darkest nooks and crannies. This is not a matter of escaping and weapons, you will have to take your time, you are short of ammo and if you warn too many enemies you will likely be defeated. Therefore, we will take you through the GTFO beginner's guide, with a few tips on how to survive the beginner complex.

Rundown

First, you want to know where you stand on a director's missions or expeditions. In GTFO you will find an area called Rundown. Here you choose your trip. There are different levels in Rundown and the deeper you go, the more difficult the challenge becomes. Lower levels will not be unlocked until you complete the mission in the level above.

Each debriefing takes some time - usually several months. After this time, all Expeditions included in it will be wiped and replaced with a new Rundown and new missions. Don't expect to know much about what you will be dealing with. The developers of Ten Chambers are silent about what's in there.

Loadouts

Each player has access to a primary weapon, special weapon, tool and melee weapon. Each of these slots has several options to choose from. Each of them will be helpful in some way, so choosing what's best comes down partly to personal preferences. However, pay attention to the information on each weapon, as it contains details about its effective range, damage dealt and the amount of ammo received. Personally, I prefer to go for something that is good for the middle distance combined with the short.

Regarding the tool slot, I would advise beginners to GTFO to use the Bio Tracker as much as possible as it will provide information on the number of enemies in rooms and doors. Both the watchtower and the mine spreader are very useful for creating bottlenecks. Finding the best spot may require some trial and error, but they will be very effective in reducing the number when it gets hectic. Be careful not to get damaged by your own mines and turret. Also, the turrets will start firing as soon as they spot an enemy, so be careful when positioning them.

Calmly

Once you are on an expedition, don't forget to take it easy. If possible, try to use melee weapons as this allows you to silently eliminate enemies. Noise is bad move as it will alert others in the area. Communication is an important part of GTFO and taking the time will help you better plan your attacks.

Terminals

Terminals are scattered around the map and can be searched for important information such as target locations, resources, and other useful stuff. You will need to learn to use them and make the best of them.

Enemies

There are tons of types of enemies you'll face, although he won't spoil some. However, keep in mind that most of them will be "dormant"; when they awaken from this state, they will immediately alert others and attack you. Taking them out while you sleep is your best option. Enemies pulsate and glow. If that happens, just stand completely still until they stop, if you keep moving they wake up.
