Group Ironman Comes to OSRS With Live Stream Event on Wednesday

The Old School RuneScape community will be able to watch the Group Ironman broadcast on Wednesday, October 6. The feature, also launching that day, had been on the team's wish list for three years, but they had to bring the clans to life to set the tone. Well, finally it's all set for Group Ironman and this streaming will show it.

The latest version of Gielinor Gazette has an update for Mod Elena, which also includes an official stream announcement and a list of new team members and further updates. Elena helped expand this feature and the post explains the long process from idea to planning and finally the ability to get going after the clans are released in May. Work on this mode could start in August thanks to a team of six developers working on it.

So far the update schedule is as planned. On Wednesdays, the Championships will stop at 10:00 BST / 5:00 AM EST and will restart an hour later with the new update.

Broadcasts featuring Twitch streamers such as Mizkif, SuperSpicyMatt, Esfand, Gigguk, and Tectone will continue throughout the day. The first stream starts at approximately 7:00 PM BST / 2:00 PM EST and the last stream starts at 12:00 PM, 7:00 PM EST and 4:00 PM Pacific Time.

While there has been some criticism of introducing streamers other than those who regularly stream RuneScape, there's no doubt that the launch of this new co-op gameplay could attract new viewers. Old School RuneScape still has an incredibly dedicated community after many years, and it's no wonder it's excited to add this new co-op option and plans to broadcast it both to the community that already ready to tune in to others who might discover something new.
