Fun AFK Light Sorc Build
Hello everyone,
I'm a simple D2R man. I like things to die fast without effort with an incredibly high MF. This is why I'm putting together a Light Sorc Build that revolves around Chain Lightning! A better build would be one based on Trapsin as well as CE Necro, who are extremely effective AFKers. However, the aimbot of Chain Lightning and 2 fcr frames make it an ounce more fun for me. And it's the perfect balance between playing and AFK'ing without getting me to sleep.
Skills:
Warmth, Tele, Static
Max Energy Shield/Telekinesis
Max Chain Lightning/Lightning Mastery
Rest in Lightning Bolt or charged Bolt Doesn't really matter.
Stats:
A little bit to get to the number 156. Things like Enigma, Torch, and Anni will help you hit this but you don't have to buy an Enigma!
Rest in Energy, I'd suggest that the minimum requirement at the level of 85and above is 2500 Mana.
*(With BO) If you're not a fan of having to carry around 400-500 pounds of weight you can spend an additional 50 to 100 dollars in Vitality. I carry four antidotes in my belt, so I'm comfortable with the 450. 600 is plenty to be attainable for life skilled people.
Gameplay:
Kill speed is similar as Nova however it's a bit more efficient in AOE clearance than 15K hammerdin, on the average due to having to place the Hammers moving. Chain lightning is able to reach further by using less keystrokes or none. Hold the click button for a few seconds and watch everything be focused, no pushing or stomping required. There's nothing as precise as Javazon However, it's never static. I'm never worried about mana except when I'm beaten, but I'm averaging about 1 mana pot per 2 CS runs.
Note: I must say that the game of Infinity is almost a necessity in any Hell game using any lightning build. It's costly, sure however I'm not sure what else to say, other than it's just the nature of the game.
Endgame Gear:
Oculus with Ist Oculus with Ist
The Griffon socket is 5/5 Facet. (Or any socket you want!)
Enigma - Enigma
- Spirit Monarch
Mara's (any resistances can help and can be helpful, so aim for at least a 30!)
2 x SOJ
- Chance Guards
- War Travelers
- Arachnid's
This setup places me around 325% mf using Gheeds, and two MF tiny charms. I also have 110fcr.
Budget Equipment:
- Shako (or any decent Circlet/Coronet/Tiara you can get your hands on)
- Hoto/Eschuta's/CM/Death's Fathom/Oculus (depending on your budget)
Vipermagi
- Spirit Monarch
When it comes to Jewelry it is best to reach either that 110 FCR breaking point, or that of 120 FCR (for one frame faster with chain lightning) depending on your preference! It is dependent on the primary weapon you are using and using a Hoto you will score 110 by hitting 1 10fcr necklace, and on. The most powerful amulet you could get is one that has strength mana, resistances, and strength. It is possible to run an ammy that is cheaper and without FCR. Any rings you like. You can use blue high MF rings or nagels, stat rings, res/stat and mana after every kill ring, or any other rings you want. It's entirely up to your choice, so I'm not going to give every possible combo. I'm lazy, remember?
-- Frostburn as well as Chance Guards if you have enough Mana
- Silkweave Boots
- Arachnid's
This configuration is very flexible and you are able to prioritise Mf in the event you'd prefer. In any case, the foundation of gameplay is the same the same:"AFK!"
--End of Build
Discussion:
I'd love to hear your feedback. In my tests two factors made to make the build more solid: resistances and an Oculus (for the resistance). The Mana after each kill assists in maintaining the costly Chain Lightning, and paired with an Enigma I'm basically running an enigma and a double leech. This also lets me use Silkweave to make war traveler's weapon.
I've played with a 3/20 socketed Facet Circlet but prefer the FCR Griffon's features. If I were to have an GG 2/20 amulet, the 3/20 might be more effective however, in my experience the Griffon appeared to be hitting harder. The Mara's 30 Res isn't anything to be snoozing at.
I also attempted using an faceted Eschuta with an 20/20 facet shield however this shifts the build from being an AFK construction to more like an esoteric cannon. The resistance hit even without Oculus and Spirit resulted in me becoming very soft. I've studied this, and for my needs, they are the only way. In addition, I could not sense the 20/20 shield as strongly as my Javazon that is superior to an Spirit or any other shield in any circumstance. Does anyone know that chain lightning bounces have the 20/20? Together in the demise of 80percent Mf in my Oculus I decided it was an easy decision for me to not use it.
This build sharing here, maybe you need, thank you. And sel & buy d2r items, d2r ladder items on p2pah.com, join us now.
