Everything you need to know about Biomutant

Described as a "post-apocalyptic kung-fu tale", the Biomutant in Experiment 101 has been in development for some time. Former Avalanche Studios employees started the studio in 2015 and started working on Action RPG shortly after. It has since been promoted and played at trade shows, but escaped the original 2018 release date before being pushed back from 2020 to 2021. As we approached the game's official launch later this month, we thought it was a good time. they are to collect everything we know about the game so you can decide whether to pick it up or not.

Release date and platforms for the biomutant

After a long wait, Biomutant will be officially launched on May 25, 2021. On release, the game will hit PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Pre-orderers will receive the Mercenary add-on, a new class for use in the game. Experiment 101 also told Eurogamer in February this year that "there will be more information soon" regarding the next-gen native versions of the game.

Biomutant gameplay and features

First, if you want to see the game in action, check out 11 minutes of Game Informer above. THQ Nordic has released a series of trailers that will give fans a good idea of ??how it works in action.

This is a third-person combat-focused action game and it looks like players can wield a variety of weapons, from pistols and swords to dark magic that summons the elements. I even saw a dirty toilet brush in the trailer. Brawls look crazy but tactical, with lots of slight nuances as players shoot across the battlefield while chopping.

It also looks like vehicles will appear in the game as mutants can cross waterways in makeshift boats, ride animals, and float in open suitcases and flying machines. The world itself is a gigantic post-apocalypse with a dynamic weather system. You explore skyscraper ruins and lush fields and fight a variety of enemies. From what I can see there are robots as well as meat and bone creatures that can be cut.

Character creation is obviously a very important part of Biomutant. In the beginning, players will choose between different races, each with different strengths in terms of vitality, strength, intellect, charisma, agility and luck.

You build your typical RPG character with these stats in mind, but the hero's body is also warped to match the stats displayed. You can create a small monster if you want high movement speed, or give it a giant torso if you want to focus on damage and health, for example. You can also choose a percentage of resistance during the crafting process that determines your survival rate in game biomes, which can be icy or toxic, for example.

Once done, you'll be given a series of Aesthetics Tools, and then be prompted to pick a class, between Dead-Eye, Commando, Psi-Freak, Saboteur and Sentinel.
