A Plea for Staff and Wand Adjustments in Throne and Liberty

Navigating the intricate world of Throne and Liberty, I've found myself wrestling with the intricacies of the staff and wand. One particular pain point is the Serial Fireball, our highest DPS skill, which unfortunately falls short in faster-paced encounters due to its lack of instant casting. It's disheartening that the skill central to setting up our combos becomes a hindrance in swifter battles.

In my exploration, I've encountered issues with the Inferno Wave, an ostensibly instant cast skill designed to inflict burning at a 70% chance. Unfortunately, it fails to deliver on this aspect, leaving me questioning its effectiveness and potential in various scenarios.

Moving on to the Lightning Zap, a decent skill that suffers from low DPS due to its dependency on the Fireball/Burning combo. To alleviate this dependency, I propose making Lightning Zap chargeable, with its damage scaling based on the enemy's health. This modification would not only add versatility but also remove the problematic reliance on external factors, such as burning, that are beyond a player's control.

Addressing the Frostscreen, a skill primarily beneficial in PVP kiting but underutilized in PVE, I advocate for a modifier that boosts its damage against slowed enemies. Eliminating the "wet" aspect of this skill is crucial for a seamless integration into the kit, making it a more attractive option without compromising its utility.

Ice Spear, while boasting decent damage and a satisfying skill shot, struggles to find its place within the broader kit. To rectify this, it needs to synergize better with the rest of the abilities. Introducing bonuses, such as reduced cooldowns per target hit and an added debuff to enhance damage, would elevate its utility and contribute to a more cohesive and strategic playstyle.

Diving into the realm of sleep, a wand-exclusive ability often paired with the staff, the concept of triggering extra damage on wake-up is intriguing. However, the staff lacks a significant single-target DPS skill, leaving the setup heavily reliant on a combination of skills. To balance this, a chargeable single-target damage ability for the staff is essential. Moreover, sleep itself could see improvements, with increased damage on wake-up and the removal of the skill damage reduction skill's ability to wake up targets.

Acknowledging my ongoing learning journey at level 50, I resonate with the sentiments shared by others. Aligning with the broader player community, I support the call for enhancements to Serial Fireball, Lightning Zap, and Ice Spear, recognizing the need for immediate reworks to refine their effectiveness and synergy within the staff's elemental kit.

In essence, my plea is for a harmonious blend of the elemental aspects, fostering a kit where all elements seamlessly work together. Currently, the disjointed nature of the staff's abilities poses challenges, and the proposed adjustments seek to untangle this mess, ensuring a more gratifying and strategically engaging experience for players in Throne and Liberty.
